COUNSELLING SERVICES

I employ a variety of modalities streamlined to suit you and your concerns, that will help you to move forward in your life. I love to be able to provide therapies that acknowledge the huge interconnection between mind, body and spirit. I offer an environment that is safe, accepting and empathetic, as we work together on a journey of discovery, growth, change and transformation, leading to healing and a balanced life.

My approach is client-centred, holistic and strengths based. The focus is on collaborating with you to establish and achieve your goals, with the understanding that each client is unique with their own values and belief system.

At times in our life we can find ourselves at a turning point, and finding the right person to talk to, who understands and validates you and your concerns, can not only alleviate the situation but can also provide an environment for you to further explore various areas of your life and your relationships with self and others, which can be life-changing as well as life-enhancing.

Modalities I particularly enjoy working with include RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy®), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Re-decision Therapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and mBIT Coach Training (Multiple Brain Integration Techniques).

Most commonly I am asked to assist in the following areas:

How Many Sessions Will I Require?

It is up to each individual how many sessions they need but I often recommend 6 sessions, reviewable at the end of this time. This allows time to work through different aspects of what is happening in all the areas of your life right now and cover the main balances and change processes.

RAPID TRANSFORMATIONAL THERAPY® (RTT®)

How can RTT® help you?

Just call or email to book your free 20 minute discovery call to find out. It’s as easy as that!

What is Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®)?

Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) is a hybrid method that incorporates the most effective components of  hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, CBT and NLP in a unique combination that produces a transformative effect on clients. It is a revolutionary new therapeutic approach developed in the UK by Marisa Peer.

It combines effective techniques such as regression, hypnotic conditioning and trance, with new tools which really help us to identify and clear whichever mental blockages which are forming the background to any particular issue.  Because of this, many clients see rapid transformations, often after just 1-3 sessions, depending on the issue.

Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) can help clients release the behaviour and beliefs that are holding them back, so they can take back their power and fulfil their life's potential.

Who is Rapid Transformational Therapy® For?

RTT® is for anyone who wants to heal. See the list above for areas I am most commonly asked to assist in

RTT® is rapid and powerful, however around 60% of the transformation occurs during the session, while the other 40% is ‘locked in place’ via a recording tailor-made specifically for you and your issue. You must commit to listening to your hypnosis recording for at least 21 days to help upgrade your subconscious mind. Depending on the issue you present with, you may need up to 3 sessions.

Sessions Are Available on Zoom or in Person

I live on the Kapiti Coast, NZ. I am available for sessions from my home office. I also offer sessions via Zoom.

Hypnosis

Hypnosis isn’t woowoo! It is a natural state we enter into several times throughout the day. For instance when we are engrossed in a movie, when we drive and daydream or when we immerse ourselves in a good book we go into a trance state, or an altered state of consciousness.  This can vary in depth and once in it people tend to be very relaxed, very suggestible and their imagination, focus and concentration are heightened.

In my work with hypnosis I simply used beautiful guided meditations and visualisations to help clients to relax and therefore get the most out of their sessions. I can’t hypnotise clients or make them relax – they can only do that themselves. I merely facilitate the process. It’s also important to note that in hypnosis a person is still in control, and can’t be made to do anything they don’t want to do. Generally it is a thoroughly pleasant experience and clients feel like they’ve had a two hour nap and a lovely massage, feeling refreshed and invigorated after.

Trance isn’t sleep!

It is between awake and asleep, with a light trance being closer to awake and a deep trance being closer to sleep. In hypnosis the conscious mind relaxes and so there is less analysis, judgement or reasoning, allowing lots more information to bypass it and go directly via the senses to the subconscious mind.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is the combination of hypnosis (a state of trance) with therapeutic suggestions that allow for change to occur in a person’s thoughts, words and actions, and even beliefs and attitudes. If hypnosis is like a tool, hypnotherapy is the use of that tool to create change from the inside out through bypassing the critical conscious mind and connecting with a person’s unconscious mind.

There are 2 main styles of hypnotherapy – Suggestive, which involves a light to medium trance and specific positive suggestions and visualisations which relate to the client’s issue and how they would like to be; and Analytical, which usually involves a deeper trance and regression, or ‘remembering past events that are locked in the subconscious’. These memories can then be modified.
